We are the Movement Academy OT301, a welcoming and friendly international community centred around health in movement.
Our spiritual home is OT301 in Amsterdam, where we train daily. Join classes ranging from beginners to advanced, where students learn many useful skills they can use as life tools — modern dance, yoga, aerial silks, circus, acrobatics and other performing arts.
We are a mixed level group, and we tailor the classes in small groups to guide people towards their full potential. One of our aims is to inspire people so they can choose their own path with confidence, taking what they learn on themselves. That can be for performance, teaching, or just enjoying yourself with others in the fun, creative, vibe.

I’m so greatfull for finding Monika at Ot301. She is a great teacher and incredible person. She is pasioned about her job and she is very profesional. I was a student fora more than 8 years and i did aerials, modern and contact dance and also some siatsu workshops. Best experience ever! If you are in Amsterdam and you are looking for movment, go with Monika!
I started doing aerial silk with Monika, and as someone that have never tried before, since day 1, Monika really motivated me to go to the classes and to improve my flexibility and strength. After every class, she sends pictures and videos, which help you stay focused and make you want to get better every week. I found these classes very important, especially because it was the first time in years I started enjoying doing a sport regularly.
I strongly recommend going to these classes if you like to do sports and challenge your body and flexibility. More than a workout, in these classes you learn new routines and positions every time and train a lot of different parts of your body. The atmosphere in the classes is great, and it takes away the pressure of being new at a sport, since everyone is so welcoming, and the classes are made for different levels within the same class.
Monika gives each one of her students, including me, the confidence to believe and try to push their training to the next level, and she is a fantastic teacher who not only cares about their students during the class but also outside of it.
I joined Monika’s classes with no experience or understanding of what aerial silk really was. I loved my first class so much, from that point on I started going every week. These classes made me restart my sport journey and help me a lot with strength, flexibility and with body awareness in general.
I strongly recommend these classes for anyone who struggles to keep a routine and exercising regularly, as every day you feel motivated to join the group and Monika makes sure you practice the moves and routines you like the most, and gives you the confidence to go further and outside of your comfort zone. She always records you and sends you pictures or videos of your class which helps to keep you motivated and wanting to improve your skills.
I love Monika’s classes and learning with her every week was really important for me. So if you’re unsure whether to join aerial silk, these classes are a great way to try it.
Thank you for the very beautiful experience!
I participated only once in the floor work class when I was visiting Amsterdam for one week. I felt very welcome, and loved how the whole group integrated me. It was a pleasure to move together. I can recommend every tourist to come by and participate.
Getting to know Monika through her classes has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life in Amsterdam. She is a dynamic, self-taught teacher whose holistic approach enables students of all ages, body types and backgrounds to take flight – both literally and figuratively. In her classes, you get to know yourself through fun yet challenging sessions, in an atmosphere that is always welcoming and motivating. It’s all about discovering your own hidden potential. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to surprise themselves.
i stampled upone the movement academy and i instantly felt home. Even though I had some mobility technicalities, it was great fun to learn and share the creativity, passion and dedication Monika carries;
as well as all the guest instructors in aerial and martial arts.
I still carry the feeling with me wherever I go. Thank you💚
There are very few teachers and trainers with the love and passion Monika has.
Having enjoyed time with her and her trainees as guest teacher, I could realize how much she absorbs every new technique or methodology always eager to give the best to her people.
I am from Argentina but have travelled the world and shared with trainers and teachers from all over the world.
It is very rare to find anywhere a professional like Monika or a place like OT where the creativity and sensitivity flow everywhere.
Always grateful to Monika! Always!
There is a family feeling at Movement Academy. Monika is inspiring as a teacher and as a person.
I joined the Movement Academy 6 years ago, inspired by the work Monika was doing with my daughters. They are learning Aerials for past 10 years, and have amazing skills. I thought “I really would like to know how it feels to fly”.
I have a martial arts background. Balance, fluidity, strength, precision are key elements in Aerials, and I was surprised to find out how much they have in common.
In this wonderful journey, I feel encouraged to make progress at my pace (51 years old), always safe, and learning new tricks. I hope that I can fly with Monika for many years to come.
Thank you Monika! Pleasure to be part of your team! Dancing from the heart, with endless curiosity for learning and joy of creating together. Keep the fire burning!!
It is beautiful to see how Monika creates space for learning with focus and fun.
I have been working together with Monika, who has organised a floorwork class at OT301 since 2008 and I have been teaching it for many years. I have learned a lot from her, observing how she holds space for different levels of experiences.
Everyone feels welcome, from students who come for years and are quite advanced, to first comers that never danced before. As a teacher, it is so important to work in an environment where there is no pressure on the students, at the same time there is a lot of curiosity and encouragement to grow. Her interdisciplinary approach and very diverse background brings another dimension to the dance class. Many times the classes are leading to performance, and that is a very important part of learning. I am so happy and proud when the floorwork dance group joins one of Movement Academy performance events.
We do much more than learning skills, we practice how to listen to our body, minds and the whole.
Manuela, floorwork class teacher in collaboration with Movement Academy
I honestly never imagined that someone like me — middle-aged and heavier than the “typical” aerial student you might picture — could feel so capable, strong, and empowered doing silks. And yet, here I am, achieving things I once thought were completely out of reach. And this is entirely thanks to this incredible teacher, Monika and the beautiful young community she created .
From the moment the studio doors close and the lesson begins, something shifts for me. The outside world quiets down. The stress of the day melts away. Inside that space, I feel calm, focused, and completely accepted. Monika has this rare gift of making every student feel seen and capable, exactly as they are. There is no judgment, only encouragement. No comparison, only progress. I never feel rushed or out of place — only supported.
Everyone training in this studio is warm, patient and kind. Thanks to them, I’ve built strength and confidence I didn’t know I had. I’ve learned that aerial silks isn’t reserved for a certain body type or age — it’s for anyone willing to show up and try. And showing up has become one of the best gifts I give myself each week. Thank you !
